If anyone know’s how to get someone to open up, Oprah Winfrey does!
Recently, your all time favorite male R&B singer Usher Raymond sat down with Oprah’s Next Chapter to address some of the battles he’s never been willing to discuss. Behind each of the seven Grammy Awards, tremendous success as an artist and actor, is a man that has dealt with many traumatic experiences. His tough core may have cracked when Winfrey mentioned some of his more personal and private matters during the interview. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until September 16th to see the full episode.
We did manage to get some insight.
In the latest edition of O magazine, Usher refers to his marriage to Tameka Foster as his “Best Mistake.” They always say everything happens for a reason, and getting married at 28-years-old is one the “Good Kisser” singer wouldn’t take back.
Raymond, now 35-years-old, married ex-wife Tameka in 2007. The marriage lasted only 2 years but here’s what Usher had to say about the failed union:
“Most people probably think I regret it because I ended up getting divorced, but it helped me learn that sometimes I think I know more than I actually do,” he told O.
Here’s a sneak peak:
Be sure to catch Usher on Oprah’s Next Chapter on September 16 at 9pm E/T.
